Future Stars Camp a Success

The Mayville State Women's and Men's Basketball teams once again held their Future Stars Basketball Camp the week of May 31st.  The camp had over 65 campers participate for the week.  The Future Stars Camp is for girls and boys in grades K-6.  The Future Stars Camp is ran all week by Coach Alex Herman, who is the Assistant Coach for the Comet's Men's Basketball Team.  There are also players from both the Comet Women's and Men's Basketball team that help for the duration of the week.  The entire staff does a GREAT job of giving the campers a great experience along with some exposure to the game of basketball.

For the week the campers worked on skills such as ball handling, shooting, passing and catching.  The campers participated in games along with some individual contests to give them a chance to compete and have some fun.  All campers come away from the Future Stars Camp with a free shirt, some improved skills and hopefully a lot of fun memories.  Future Stars Camp was designed to give kids some exposure to the game of basketball and hopefully improve their interest in the game as well.

ALL campers are invited to come to a Comet's Basketball game next season, and hopefully they will be able to see their favorite coach from camp on the floor playing.  GO COMETS!!!!!
